To me, Thilo represents the unusual, the unexpected.

An international name for a man whose voice renders his growth in Tuscany unmistakable.

Ulla and Thierry, his parents, chose Valdarno as their family’s new home in 1988.

There, among the Valdarno cliffs (Balze), reminiscences of a lake that no longer exists, they began planting their first vines. And their own geographical diversity was thus revived in the vineyard.

On these cool, sandy soils, rows of Sangiovese, Vermentino, and Merlot gently color the rolling hills. Their fruits are transformed rigorously adhering to a minimalist ethic, creating wines defined by the landscape.
